Robert Heist

An experienced attorney, Robert Heist owns a law firm with locations in Massachusetts and Illinois. In addition, he leverages a strong business background to develop investment strategies for the Hershey Trust Company as a member of its board of directors. He joined the board in 2011 and has since served on its Trust Administration and Investment Committee, Audit Committee, and Nominating and Governance Committee. Robert Heist also serves on the Board of Managers at the Milton Hershey School, where he formerly studied.

Mr. Heist founded his boutique law firm, R. Connor & Associates, PC, in 2001. The firm focuses on business law issues such as insurance, regulatory compliance, workers rights, and contracts.

To continue providing the highest level of service possible, Robert Heist has engaged in director education courses at Harvard Business School, focusing on topics including corporate board development, auditing, and compensation. He holds a JD from John Marshall Law School and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Recreationally, Robert Heist enjoys playing golf and tennis, hiking, and sailing. In addition, he is a dedicated amateur cook with a passion for the culinary arts.
